Transport & Directions from Nice

Road | Car

1. Follow the directions to Nice (A8 exit 51.1 or 52 Nice St Isidore) then Digne/Grenoble M6202 to Puget-Theniers.
2. At the entrance of Puget-Theniers, take the cable-stayed bridge on the left towards La Penne | Col St Raphaël.
3. Climb to the top of the Col St Raphaël.
4. The car park for the centre is at the Col on the left just before the Ascros | Besseuge.
5. The entrance to the centre is 84 metres to the right in the descent after crossing the Col St Raphaël towards La Penne, in the sharp left bend.

Bus – Line Zou 675 Nice Grand Arénas > Guillaumes

1. From the T1 or T2 airport terminals, take the free tram to the Grand Arena stop.
2. Head to the bus station, located 50m north of the tram stop, to find bus line 675 stop.

Train

Ideal if you arrive by regional/national train at the Nice-Ville SNCF station (if you can get off at the Nice St Augustin stop, prefer the bus option above), or from the city center of Nice.

Get off at the Puget-Theniers stop. You can then request a shuttle, taxi, or hitchhike (simple and safe here) to the Happy Heart Retreat Center (8 kms).

Access map to the Chemins de Fer de Provence station in Nice (different from the SNCF Nice-Ville station).

• From the train station, walk 1 min to Boulevard Jean Médecin.
• Take the T1 streetcar to the Libération stop.
• Walk 3 min to La Gare des Chemins de Fer de Provence (different from the SNCF one).
• 1 single line to Digne, 5 trains per day.

Hitchhiking

Hitchhiking between Happy Heart Retreat Center and Puget-Theniers or the village of La Penne is very simple and safe. Our community uses it on a daily basis and people in the surrounding area are used to it.

From Puget-Theniers to the Happy Heart Retreat Center:

• Cross the large cable-stayed bridge at the entrance to the town and position yourself on the south side of the Var bank, making yourself clearly visible to vehicles entering the bridge from the other bank.
• Indicate that you wish to go to Col St Raphaël. Almost all cars go there, there is only one possible road and almost no habitation until then.
• When you reach the Col, walk 84m towards La Penne until you reach the Center on your right.
